Part 3: The State: What for?

The objective of this third programme of the series is to help us reflect on the widespread acceptance that human rights exist in order to protect the individual from the State and to call our attention to a different approach to the State as a human, legal institution whose raison d’être is to protect the human rights of those who live in its territory; in other words to protect individual from each other and to administrate what is public in accordance with human rights and their implications in the existing conditions of each state.
